League City Invites Residents to Participate in a
Water Wise “Harlem Shake” Video
League City is asking residents to team up with City staff on a YouTube dance craze and an important message! The City is inviting resident to participate in a “Harlem Shake” video featuring Captain H2O to promote the City’s Water Wise campaign and water conservation. The video and conservation outreach is to be held at Eastern Regional Park at 2105 Dickinson Ave. on Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m.
Residents who choose to participate in the video should wear blue or white shirts and bring props that promote water conservation. Props can include anything from watering buckets, water efficient showerheads, to homemade signs. Residents who would like to participate should RSVP to the event on the City’s Facebook page at www.leaguecity.com/facebook or to email@example.com.
“This is a great opportunity for our resident and staff to get together and have a good time and spread the word about water conservation,” said Director of Communications Kristi Wyatt. “We hope our Water Wise video not only impacts our community, but also encourages everyone who views it online to conserve one of our most precious resources.”
In addition to outreach effort the City of League City promotes water efficiency on www.leaguecity.com/waterwise. The site includes videos, tips, and games to help residents use water wisely.
